the epiphany

the best advice more often does not come from words of specific instruction, but rather an insight into human nature. the hearer draws wisdom from the pearl hidden in a multitude of words, words that are nothing more than a vehicle of the truth, while the speaker stumbles through his psyche like an artist searching for the color of a vague memory from an inspiring scene of distant childhood. an epiphany, a mere fragment of an obscure sentence, captured like a still from a motion picture. everything said before suddenly forgotten, all that is spoken after blissfully ignored.
